Our Impact:
iENG and icon Mechanical were design-assist partners for a brand new, state-of-the-art hospital. iENG worked closely with both the design and construction teams to help execute a well-coordinated, efficient design for the plumbing, mechanical utilities, HVAC, and medical gas systems.
This project was important as it allowed iENG and icon to once again support a long-term client as it upgraded to fit the needs of a post pandemic world. This project was important to icon and iENG because it provided an opportunity to utilize our prefabrication expertise.
A unique aspect of this project is that the pods were unique and headwalls due to the complete prefabricated kits they were completed in. These modules were then set in place, saving countless field hours and helping deliver the project on time. Seamless coordination and communication with teams were paramount. iENG worked closely with icon ensure that the design, building layout, and mechanical systems aligned with the project scope.
